History
Emirates Aviation University was built up in 1991 and a part of the Emirates Group, the EAU was granted university rank in December 2010 by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

- This programme is implemented with the objective of enhancing chances of employment for EAU graduates. This is achieved by offering one-to-one guidance and providing useful information such on the job market.

Student services
EAU Student Council is a body formed under the guidance and supervision of the Student Services Office.
- The main purpose of the Council is to act as a link between the Student Services Office and the student community, to provide opportunities for extracurricular activities.
- The council also acts as a channel for communication between students, faculty and administration staff to assist the formation of organised groups, clubs and teams. Current organised activities include sports, culture, art, media, science and social pursuits.

The library is also a popular study area for students, providing a lending service which allows them to borrow books and other resources for study at home.
ICT services
The Information Technology Department (IT) provides computer related services and support to students, faculty and staff.
- Services provided include wireless and local area networks, online resources and instructional, technical and administrative services. IT resources are available from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
Medical services
The university has an on-campus first-aid centre to provide emergency health services to students. For serious injuries or emergencies requiring hospital treatment, an ambulance will be called to transfer the student to a suitable hospital. The expenses incurred for ambulance and hospital treatment will be borne by the student.

Sports facilities
The University encourages sporting activities to promote the physical wellbeing of students. On-campus facilities are available for football, basketball, volleyball, tennis, badminton, cricket, swimming, table tennis and billiards. Several university sports teams participate in local and national competition events, and new members are always welcome.
