Great campus, great uni

The campus is definitely one of the most attractive attributes of this university, with a great variety of open and indoor spaces to study and socialise, well-equipped laboratories and lots of green areas which is something not that common in large cities like Puebla. The only downside, in my opinion, might be that some areas can feel quite overcrowded at some points during the day, e.g. the cafeteria and some dinning areas (though expansion works in the main dinner are on the way). There isn’t much parking area either. Overall my experience has been really good, I’ve had great professors which have encouraged me to participate in several academic activities I wouldn’t have considered joining at first. The teaching environment is regularly neither too strict nor too relaxed, though in my experience, a high level of compromise and responsibility is key to achieve good results.

Efficient, so complete and accurate

It was really complete with all the subjects I had during the career. They give me a lot of information of a lot of different fields of study like biology, physics, maths, material sciences, polymers, and the variations of chemistry.

From Textbooks to a Working ECG

Choosing Biomedical Engineering was one of the best decisions I've ever made, and studying at this university is a big reason why. My experience was complete, competitive, and truly transformative. What I loved most were the professors. They were incredibly well prepared, and more importantly, they genuinely wanted us to succeed. They made time to answer questions and pushed us to think like real engineers instead of just memorizing formulas. That support made a huge difference, especially in the toughest semesters. The campus facilities are also wonderful, with comfortable spaces that make studying and collaborating easier. But what really shaped me were the projects. One I will never forget was building an ECG from scratch. I loved it. Understanding how the signal is captured, filtered, and displayed from the inside made everything I had learned finally click. It was the moment I felt like a real biomedical engineer. That confidence grew during my professional internship at Hospital Ángeles Puebla. Working with real medical equipment taught me more than I expected about how devices operate day to day, why maintenance and safety matter, and how engineering directly supports patient care. It confirmed that I chose the right path. No experience is perfect, though. I think the laboratories could be improved a little, with more updated equipment and more practice time, since hands-on work is essential in this field. The workload can also be very heavy at times, and a better balance would help students manage their time and well-being. Still, these points never took away from the quality of my education. Overall, my study experience was demanding but rewarding. It challenged me, made me grow, and prepared me to compete in the professional world. I finish this stage with knowledge, practical skills, real experience, and the determination to keep learning. I would recommend this university 100% to anyone passionate about science and technology who is willing to work hard and eager to turn ideas into real solutions. I'm proud to have been part of it.
