Student services
Because Tio is small-scaled, you will have a lot of guidance during your studies (e.g. a study coach). There is also an international office where you are able to ask any questions before and during your study.
If you currently have any questions, please contact our international admissions office: admissions@tio.nl.
Housing services
Accomodations on school campusses are not common in the Netherlands. The majority of students rent a room in a student house. Since there is a high demand for student accommodation, we recommend starting your search as soon as possible. Tio can also help you out if you need help finding an accomodation. Average accommodation prices for student housing in the Netherlands vary between €450 and €800 a month.
Students who require a visa will be offered housing via Tio (this is included in our package fee). The housing will be in the city center close to the university.
Library services
Tio has several working spaces where students can work quietely, toghether for group work or on one of the computers. Tio also offers an online library where the study books and other books are available.
ICT services
All of the campusses have several computors available, free WiFi and IT support.
Campus life
Tio has six campuses spread across the Netherlands:
- Amsterdam
- Utrecht
- Eindhoven
- Hengelo
- Rotterdam
- Groningen
All of Tio's campuses are easily accessible via public transport (max 10 minutes from the train station) and in the city centre.
On campus there is a canteen with snacks, drinks and lunch available. Because the campuses are all located in the city centre, you will have many facilities close by.
Sports facilities
It is possible to play any kind of sports you would in The Netherlands like, for example tennis, football, swimming, or fitness. For more information about the location you can ask your fellow students or your contact person at the Tio campus.
Student clubs
Cognatio is Tio's student society. Cognatio organises many fun events during the academic year, such as beach parties, winter sports, an annual gala and introduction days in the Ardennes.
The motto of Cognatio is "No pressure, just enjoy!". In line with this motto, there is no type of any kind of pledge or hazing. Anyone can join. Cognatio helps you get the most out of your time as a student.
The NVAO assesses the internal quality control of universities and colleges in The Netherlands and the quality of their educational programs. Obtaining renewal of the accreditation for the HEM and ITM bachelor courses insures the quality of the study courses.
