History

In the year 2000, Yayasan BINA NUSANTARA (BINA NUSANTARA Foundation) decided to move the Graduate School to a new location at Senayan area named Joseph Wibowo Center (JWC). Within less than a year, the foundation acquired a piece of land and started construction of a new modern facility at Jalan Hang Lekir I No. 6, right in the middle of Jakarta‘s business district.

Many of our students have gone on to become successful professionals and entrepreneurs. These are only a few indicators of the extraordinary success that BINUS UNIVERSITY has achieved.

BINUS offers an industry–needs based curriculum by actively conducting multi–faceted coalitions with foreign universities, world–renowned industries and enterprises such as CISCO, Microsoft, SAP, ORACLE, IBM and many more, as well as bringing Indonesia’s popular lifestyle and culture to other nations.

Student services

Students feel home away from home at BINUS and are assisted with any transition processes. BINUS SQUARE as the university´s residence hall has a 24h on-call service and staff regularly organizing excursions and soft skill workshops for students. BINUS CAREER and BINUS ALUMNI CENTERS ensure students stay in touch and network for employment and entrepreneurship opportunities.

Housing services

Located in the Kemanggisan area of West Jakarta, on Jalan Budi Raya; BINUS SQUARE has four halls, two halls dedicated for female boarders and two halls for male boarders, and 1500 rooms that can cater for 2300 students. 

Campus life

BINUS INTERNATIONAL is located in the Senayan area, the center of business and entertainment for South Jakarta which means that there are various ways for everyone to get there. The campus is easily reachable from the other BINUS institutions and facilities such as the BINUS SQUARE – Hall of Residence. Bountiful activities animate students’ leisure time. Campus-wide lecture series, such as the BINUS Festival, discuss globally relevant topics. To support character building and entrepreneurial skills, student batches participate in community impact field trips or display their innovations to the BINUS community.

Our university not only is the first university in Indonesia to be ISO accredited, our current investment and relationship with SAP further strengthens our infrastructure to take our institution to greater heights in the 21st century.
