EPAS accredited Masters Degree Programmes
The Masters Degree Programme in Finance, the Masters Degree Programme in International Business and the Master's Programme in Strategic Business Development at the University of Vaasa have been awarded the international EPAS accreditation.
EPAS is an international programme accreditation system operated by European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD). EFMD is recognised globally as an accreditation body of quality in management education with established accreditation services for business schools and business school programmes, corporate universities and technology-enhanced learning programmes.
The EPAS evaluation process considers programme delivery and design, programme outcomes, and quality assurance. The quality of education, international aspects and corporate interaction are also emphasised in the evaluation process. The EPAS accreditation is an internationally much appreciated quality label given for education in the field of business studies. All of the University of Vaasas accredited programmes educate specialists for managerial tasks that require solid international competence.
University of Vaasa Excellent Business School
The Faculty of Business Studies of the University of Vaasa has been ranked as Excellent Business School in the Eduniversal Worldwide Business School Ranking.
The ranking is performed annually in three stages. First, schools are ranked by their international recognition, accreditations held, membership in international associations and organisations, and place in international, regional or national ratings. The second stage involves voting by deans of 1000 business schools and universities from 153 countries of the world. On the third, final, stage, the International Scientific Committee made up of nine independent experts representing different regions of the world says its word.
The main purpose of the EDUNIVERSAL ranking of universities is to make an objective comparison of education institutions providing management and business administration studies in different countries.
AMBA accredited Energy Business MBA
The Energy Business MBA is arranged in close cooperation with the Robert Gordon Universitys, Aberdeen Business School and it was awarded the AMBA accreditation in December 2010. The AMBA (Association of MBAs) is an international impartial authority on postgraduate business education.
The Vaasa Energy Business MBA is the Universitys MBA program focusing on energy business. The programme has been created to meet the specific requirements of professionals working in a variety of companies operating within the realm of the energy industry and its related industries. The Energy Business MBA is arranged in close cooperation with the Aberdeen Business School and on successful completion participants will receive MBA also from Aberdeen. Aberdeen Business School is part of The Robert Gordon University (RGU),which has regularly been acclaimed as the top university in Scotland for graduate employment and is currently ranked 10th across all UK Universities.
The local partner is the Levón Institute, the Centre for Continuing Education and Research of the University of Vaasa. The Levón institute and the Aberdeen University jointly answer for the planning, delivery and study counseling of the Energy Business MBA.
