About

History

  • Founded in 1971, MacEwan University inspires students with a powerful combination of academic excellence and personal learning experiences.
  • Through learner-centred teaching, we connect with our students—creating a unique post-secondary experience that opens up diverse pathways for achievement and growth.

Education

  • MacEwan University is dedicated to providing students with a transformative, academically rigorous personal learning experience in a creative, collaborative and supportive learning environment.
  • This is one of the many features that set our university apart and provide students diverse pathways to achievement and growth.
  • Our international programs aim to prepare learners for the Canadian work environment by empowering students with the tools to be successful.

Research

  • Solving problems, unearthing new knowledge, expressing ourselves creatively.
  • At MacEwan University, our faculty’s research and creative activity seek to answer local and global questions, enrich the social and cultural fabric of our city and provide students with hands-on experiences.
  • The Office of Research Services (ORS) supports scholarly activity at all stages of a project—planning, development, implementation and follow-through.
  • As well as providing information on funding opportunities, we host workshops, ensure ethical standards are met, provide print and digital resources for managing projects and answer your questions about scholarships at MacEwan.

Career

  • We currently have three professional development programs that focus on career paths related to the business areas of Project Management, Business Analysis and Global Logistics.
  • Students in these programs have previous post-secondary education and experience working in a professional setting.
  • The learning objectives are designed to enhance industry knowledge and understanding in a Canadian business environment while also improving professional English language communication.
  • Students that successfully complete a one-year professional development certificate are eligible to apply for a work permit in Canada.
