Student services

New student organizations are always forming. If you cannot find an established student organization that meets your needs, consider forming your own organization.

Housing services

To provide a conducive living learning environment that supports the academic mission of the university and to educate and engage students through intentional programming and developmental interactions to help develop them into independent adults, global citizens and strong contributing community members.

Medical services

We focus on promotion of good health through counseling, education, and prevention of illness. We welcome your ideas and suggestions. The Student Health Center provides medical care to all VSU students and makes referrals for medical cases beyond its capacity. Upon a visit to the facility, a valid VSU Identification Card must be presented before services are rendered.

Campus life

The 236-acre campus is located in Virginia’s historic Chesterfield County, on a bluff overlooking the Appomattox River.

On-campus facilities include a fully wired, 280,000-volume library, a new science and engineering center, a computer technology center and a campus radio station. VSU also owns and operates a 416-acre farm and agricultural research center.

The best way to learn about Virginia State University is to visit our beautiful campus. We can arrange both individual and group tours. We're sure you'll be favorably impressed with the many exciting things happening on our campus.

Sports facilities

Intramural sports at VSU are open to all students, males and females, as well as faculty and staff members. There are no tryouts so everyone can play the sports they choose.

Intramurals are a great way to get or stay fit and active, to participate in a team environment, and to have fun.

Student clubs

Student organizations play an important role in campus life at Virginia State University. Throughout the year, they sponsor a variety of extra and co-curricular activities for the campus community as well as participate in service projects on and off campus.

Accreditation

Virginia State University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award baccalaureate, masters and doctorate degrees.

VSFS Prague rewiew

In the university I`m currently studying I like the fact, that almost every lecturer has working experience in the field they`re teaching about. That`s how we got interesting examples of some cases as they were directly from their work. The advantage of VSFS is also the Erasmus program and the possibility to study together with people from different countries and making new quality friendships. Overall the studies go easy and fun, and what`s more important that teachers are always out there to help students and they often take into consideration the proposals for the exercises and always prepare something interesting for us.

review about my university

My university has diverse culture, exposure different kind of environment and continuous learning and growing process. there are always few thing good things and bad things about any institutions /university .here i have mentioned some of the things which i personally felt that needs improvement are: its not quite efficient about in decision making there needs to be a proper ground level of work to done before implementing any news circulations and new courses. the university has high fees, which is difficult to pay ,the result published by university isn't satisfactory the result publication time should be increased and exam paper should be properly corrected. The time allocated to the invigilator should be increased which will definitely boost good score.
