Since the University’s inception as a teacher-training school in 1871 to its stature today as a premier comprehensive institution, quality and innovative higher education have been hallmarks of UW Oshkosh’s success.
Education
The mission of the University of Wisconsin System is to develop human resources, to discover and disseminate knowledge, to extend knowledge and its application beyond the boundaries of its campuses, and to serve and stimulate society by developing in students heightened intellectual, cultural, and humane sensitivities, scientific, professional and technological expertise, and a sense of purpose.
Research
A University of Wisconsin Oshkosh laboratory is helping ensure safe, clean water is flowing through faucets at hospitals, hotels and nursing homes in Wisconsin and beyond.
The Environmental Research and Innovation Center (ERIC) recently attained certification for Legionella testing by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). It joined just two other Wisconsin commercial labs with Environmental Legionella Isolation Techniques Evaluation (ELITE) Program certification.

UWO has the distinct advantage of being in northeastern Wisconsin’s Fox Valley region, which is highly populated and home to many industry leaders with national and international reach. This close proximity provides students with access to high-impact internships and job opportunities.

Clubs and student organizations: more than 160, including the award-winning Model United Nations team and student newspaper, The Advance Titan, as well as professional, arts and culture, religious and social clubs.
Accreditation

In addition, UW Oshkosh’s College of Business, the only nationally accredited business school in the region. Fewer than 30 percent of the 1,500 U.S. business colleges earn and maintain this honor, according to the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).

Fairly good tbh
I�m not gonna lie, it�s been beating my expectations so far. The whole culture thing is really working out for the school, a lot of people with different backgrounds and ideals and goals. Has to have its bad and good moments. 10/10 experience for me.
