Founded in 1860, Augustana is a selective, comprehensive university affiliated with the Lutheran Church.

The Student Success Center provides reasonable accommodation to qualified individuals with disabilities upon request. Students must self-disclose to receive services, which is voluntary.
Library services
The original library structure was built in 1954 as a result of the support of students, faculty, the Evangelical Lutheran Church and Sioux Falls community. The library was named in memory of Amund Mikkelsen, the “pioneer president” of the Lutheran Normal School (Sneen). In 1980, the library was doubled in size with an addition.

The ITS Computer Help Desk is the place to start for your computer, network and printer questions.
Medical services
Sanford Health Campus Clinic is Augustana’s health service provider. Services provided include acute care services, laboratory testing, and immunizations.

While you're here, you'll tour our beautiful and ever-changing 100-acre campus, observe students and faculty engaged in classrooms and labs, sample the social scene in the Commons, and be greeted along the way by members of the campus community.
Sports facilities
The Sport Club Program at Augustana is part of the Recreational Services Department. A Sport Club is defined as a registered student organization that may provide a program of instruction, recreation, and/or competition in a specific sport. Sport Clubs assume a variety of types and sizes in order to meet many of the sport needs and interests of students, faculty, and staff.

Student clubs
Clubs and organizations range from student government to volunteer service clubs, from honor societies to faith organizations. A big little university
Although my university does not have the latest technological advances, we do have research professors who do not hesitate to enlighten us about what is happening in the industry and the most recent research. They encourage us to develop innovative projects on our own, give us the facility to live with companies and experience the different industries in the flesh. also give us our space to experiment.
Great community!
Overall, a great community! A smaller population, which really makes the classes even better, for student-to-professor relationships.
Biology in Autonomus University of Aguascalientes
While I thoroughly enjoyed my biology degree, I believe I would have found it even more fulfilling if my studies had been more focused on research in synthetic biology or bioengineering. Unfortunately, these technologies are still in development in my city, limiting my exposure to these emerging fields.
