About

History

Established in 1860 in Wheaton, Illinois, Wheaton is guided by its original mission to provide excellence in Christian higher education, and offers more than 40 undergraduate degrees in the liberal arts and sciences, and 18 graduate degrees in various fields of study.

Education

Committed to the principle that truth is revealed by God through Christ "in Whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge," Wheaton College seeks to relate Christian liberal arts education to the needs of contemporary society. The curricular approach is designed to combine faith and learning in order to produce a biblical perspective needed to relate Christian experience to the demands of those needs.

Research

The trends nationally in science are for students to be engaged in active, first-rate research projects. Wheaton College is providing such research experiences for its students.

Career

The Center for Vocation and Career equips students to use their liberal arts education to thrive in careers that reflect Kingdom values and lead to flourishing lives that help build the church and benefit society worldwide.

Services

Student services

The Wheaton College Post Office (a.k.a. "The CPO") serves both undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and staff of the College.

Housing services

Wheaton College has multiple housing options including residence halls, campus apartments and campus houses.Whether you live in a residence hall, apartment, or one of the campus houses at Wheaton College, this is the place — your place to create and share in community.

Library services

The library and archives of Wheaton College are extensive and unique in their scope. With materials from Billy Graham, C. S. Lewis, J. R. R. Tolkien, Dorothy Sayers, Frederick Buechner and many other Christian luminaries, these resources offer a treasure trove of information for students, scholars and visitors to study and enjoy.

ICT services

Students walk into class with a basic understanding of content through readings, online video talks, and online quizzes. Class time can then be utilized to delve deeper into the context to solve problems by researching corporate information and data online, generating probable solutions and creating presentations.

Medical services

Student Health Services is a Christ-centered health team dedicated to developing and serving Wheaton College students, while recognizing their unique ethnic and cultural backgrounds, by treating their acute and chronic needs, and by teaching them proper preventive and wellness health care so that they will function optimally while receiving a Wheaton College education.

Student Life

Campus life

We believe it is necessary for you to be immersed in community living for key life-to-life encounters to be possible. In community, you'll give and receive, be shaped by and contribute to campus life, and be challenged to integrate your classroom learning with your life experiences.

Sports facilities

Throughout the history of intercollegiate athletics at Wheaton College our mission has remained the same: Wheaton College Athletics exists to foster the development of Christian faith, character, and leadership through competitive sports programs that “run the race to win.”

Student clubs

The great variety of student clubs on Wheaton's campus offers many opportunities for students to collaborate with their peers who have like interests, hobbies, and passions.
