History
Xavier’s origins date back to 1915, when then Mother Katharine Drexel, a former Philadelphia socialite who founded the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament and devoted her life to the education of African Americans and Native Americans, opened a high school on the site previously occupied by Southern University.
Education
Xavier University of Louisiana, founded by Saint Katharine Drexel and the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament, is Catholic and historically Black. Perfect home away from home
I love Xavier University of Louisiana! Being away from home can be tough, but the supportive community makes it feel like a second family. Professors and students are super helpful. The academic program is rigorous, but perfect for my goals.
Learning environment boasting wealthy resources
Xavier University of Louisiana provides an exceptional learning environment, boasting a wealth of resources for both students and staff. The university's academic programs present a manageable challenge, effectively preparing graduates for success in their chosen fields. Ultimately, the Xavier experience is shaped by individual initiative and dedication.
My Experience in Public Law
studied at the Catholic University of Central Africa in the field of Public Law. What I appreciated the most was the good atmosphere, the quality of the professors, and the rich and interesting course content. However, there is still room for improvement. The program is very theoretical and lacks practical training, and the administrative services are often slow and disorganized. Overall, yes, I would recommend this program to other students because it is a beautiful and very engaging field of study. My advice to future students is: stay focused and set clear goals for yourselves
