The history of the National University of Science and Technology MISIS dates back to over a century ago, when in 1918 the Moscow Mining Academy was founded, with the metallurgy department being a part of it. The University was gradually expanding, and already by 1921 the departments were transformed into universities; in 1930 it was divided into six independent institutions.
Our mission emphasizes providing fundamental instruction at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels as well as creating an organic bond between education and science.
The university annually opened research laboratories with modern research equipment, which makes the learning process interesting and informative.
NUST MISIS career center is a division of the University, established to provide comprehensive support for students on employment issues. The mission of the career center is promoted and supported career growth and professional development of students, the development of communication between the student and the employer, assistance in building an individual development plan and preparation for employment.

The residence halls are conveniently located just a few metro stops from the main academic building campus. MISIS provides its students with comfortable accommodations within four residence halls, which are collectively referred to as the “Metallurgist” campus area. In each hall students have access to computer labs, laundry rooms, recreation center, swimming pool and café.

NUST MISIS is located in the heart of Moscow (2 km from the Kremlin). Everything you might want for a convenient student life is here: accessibility by all means of public transport as well as full range of facilities for academic and student services within reach. All international students are provided with accommodation at the residence halls with developed infrastructures.
On the basis of the residence hall “Metallurg” we have sports facilities for students. Being a student of MISIS, you can receive a very good discount for a variety sports.
