History
Founded in 1897, Langston University is comprised of three campuses located in Langston, Oklahoma City, and Tulsa. The Langston campus offers programs such as biology, chemistry, nursing, urban education, international studies, goat research, physical therapy (a doctoral program) and biotechnology.
Education
Studies are divided into six colleges: Agriculture and Applied Sciences, Arts and Sciences, Business, Education and Behavioral Sciences, Nursing and Health Professions, and Physical Therapy. Summer programs and graduate education are also available.
Research
The University has research capabilities in several distinct areas within the biological and zoological sciences with the Science Research Institute, E. Kika de la Garza American Institute for Goat Research, Aquaculture Pond Research, Super-computing, Informatics research, human performance research, and health and wellness research. Langston University has the capabilities for conducting disability, rehabilitation, and health research and training early career minority investigators in the field of disability rehabilitation research.
Career
The Office of Career Services dedicates its time to educating, advising, and connecting our students to undergraduate and post-graduation career and professional development experiences. Our office is here to assist current and former students as they identify, explore, select and enter into career programs, experiential learning opportunities, and full-time employment. In addition to providing individualized counseling, the Office of Career Services also organizes campus-wide recruitment events, career development seminars, and professional development workshops.

Student services
The Langston University Center for International Development (LUCID) is an educational unit which facilitates, coordinates and monitors all international affairs of the University.
Study abroad opportunities and activities are a major component of LUCID. The development, planning, administration and implementation of study abroad and international activities are a part of LUCID. Short-term and long-term study abroad activities for students, scholarships, fellowships, and issues related to international students who are studying at Langston are conducted at the Center.
Housing services
The Living Learning Community is a group of students with shared interests, living in residential facility reserved exclusively for them and taking at least one of their classes together. Based on disciplinary and interdisciplinary themes, LLC creates intentional links between academic, social, and residential experiences. Benefits include:

Library services
Langston University houses four libraries, the G. Lamar Harrison Library, the Melvin B. Tolson Black Heritage Center, the LU-OKC Library, and the LU-Tulsa Library.
Medical services
The Langston University Health Clinic provides a range of immediate medical needs for LU students. The Health Clinic is staffed by a nurse practitioner and a licensed nurse who can professionally diagnose, treat, and prescribe medications as needed.
