Cedar Crest college was founded in 1867.

Education

Since its founding in 1867, Cedar Crest College has taken a bold approach to education - creating a college and a curriculum designed for women who want to achieve at the highest levels! Recognizing the multi-dimensional nature of students, Cedar Crest College is dedicated to the education of the next generation of women leaders by preparing the whole student for life in the global community.

Research

The Office of Institutional Research (OIR) strives to serve the College community by providing accurate, relevant, and timely data to both internal and external constituencies and informs the decision making and planning processes that support the College’s mission and goals.

Career

It is our mission to assist all students in their Career Development Journey from the moment they get to campus. We help students navigate their path including choosing a major, finding an internship, seeking mentors, to their first work experience, graduate school, and through any career transitions. Career Development is unique for each student and we utilize a student centered, strengths-based approach to Career Development. Cedar Crest's student population is diverse and we recognize the needs of our traditional students, SAGE students, and learners from all walks of life.

Student services

Office of the Ombuds. The Ombuds will arrange a confidential meeting at a time and a place convenient for you. It is helpful if you make an appointment. A face to face is most effective, but the Ombuds can work with you over the phone. They generally do not work through email communication and discourage you from emailing any confidential information.

Housing services

The office of residence life at Cedar Crest College provides a safe, comfortable and educational living environment for resident students. Furthermore, our staff is committed to the overall growth, development and academic success of students in the residence halls.Residence halls:

Library services

The first time you walk in Cressman Library, you will discover what may become one of your favorite places on campus for studying—plus one of the most sweeping views of Allentown's breathtaking park system.

Rising in three levels from the Cedar Crest hillside, the Cressman Library reflects the College's commitment to liberal arts education and online information technologies. 

ICT services

Information Technology is committed to supporting the needs of all members of the Cedar Crest community. Our staff provides a broad range of technology services, including help desk services and lab support, AV/Media services, software and application support, and networking services. Wireless Internet in Every Room.

Medical services

Cedar Crest College offers a comprehensive health and wellness program on campus - including the acclaimed Healthy U program - to help keep you fit, energetic and ready for class.

For times when you require personal medical care, however, the College also offers Health and Counseling Services, conveniently located in Curtis Hall, one of the College's four residential facilities.

Campus life

Sports facilities

The Rodale Aquatic Center at Cedar Crest College is dedicated to fostering civic health and wellness by providing educational opportunities to the larger community, both alone and in cooperation with other organizations that enhance the development of mind, body and spirit through a comprehensive array of aquatic classes, integrated with academic topics focused on healthy lifestyles.

Student clubs

Resident Advisors (RAs) live in the residence halls. Key functions include acting in the role of peer helper, educator, administrator, policy enforcer, team member and role model. RAs have the opportunity to connect with a great group of students, staff members and the College community. They are expected to develop an awareness and sense of responsibility for all matters in the residence hall. The abilitiy to develop a good rapport with students, to foster individual responsibility and personal growth among residents and to respond to emergencies are all important considerations in selecting an individual for this position.
