Trinity International University traces its roots to 1897 when the Swedish Evangelical Free Church began a ten-week Bible course in the basement of a Chicago church. This soon developed into the Bible Institute of the Swedish Evangelical Free Church of America.

The Rolfing Memorial Library at Trinity provides a variety of resources to support robust scholarship and promote lifelong learning.
The library catalog, TrinCat, allows searching of the library’s collection of books, journals, DVDs, eBooks and audio books. TIU students have access to the collections of over 70 academic libraries in Illinois.
Most of our meeting spaces have the very latest, built-in audiovisual equipment. Our on-site audiovisual professionals can handle any request, from a simple laptop hook-up to the most sophisticated videoconferencing needs. It is our desire to provide you with superior service for your media needs, in order to make your event a complete success.
At Trinity, we support the whole person. The Thrive Center is open to assist with a variety of academic and career preparation needs, while our Counseling Center supports your emotional needs through your time in college. The Aldeen Fitness Center is available for students and families to exercise.
TIU’s Deerfield campus is located just 25 miles north of Chicago.
Guests to our campus have access to a great range of hotels, restaurants and shopping. In addition, we’ve worked out special pricing with area hotels and establishments, especially for our guests.
The TIU Fitness Center is located in the Aldeen building. The center has a free weights section, including kettlebells and medicine balls; a variety of cardio machines; and a studio for group use. COVID NOTICE: All individuals using the Fitness Center must complete a health and temperature screening. Masks must be worn and social distancing maintained at all times inside the Fitness Center and Aldeen building.
TIU has an array of extra-curricular activities to help you connect with the campus and the community. But beyond the programs, campus life at TIU is really about relationships. TIU people strive to know each other truly, accept each other, and care for each other as they seek to reflect the image of Christ. With so many international students and students from all over the country, you’re sure to meet people like you as well as people with backgrounds and experiences different from your own.
