History
Founded in 2017 as part of the European University Institute, the Florence School of Transnational Governance brings the worlds of academia and policymaking together in an effort to navigate a context, both inside and outside Europe, where policymaking increasingly transcends national borders.
Education
In the cradle of the Renaissance, at the Florence School of Transnational Governance we teach, train and learn by providing a platform where transnational policy actors across politics, business, civil society, media and academia meet. We are here for anyone with an open and independent mind, for thinkers and for doers. We bring together some of the best teachers, trainers and policymakers from around the world.
Career
The STG's focus on developing key professional skills through specific training sessions and internships, prepares students for a number of careers working across borders, cultures and national interests.
Our graduates are trained to take on a variety of leadership positions in the global sector, such as multinational firms (i.e.: public communication and corporate responsibility units), NGOs, and national administrations and organisations. Some examples include business associations, the lower-level government and administration and trade unions and lobbying groups increasingly affected by international issues.
