The University was established to meet the needs of people in the north of Thailand, and to commemorate the gracious contributions of the King's Mother, Her Royal Highness Princess Srinagarindra, lovingly known to her subjects as "Mae Fah Luang."
MFU follows the aspiration of Her Royal Highness Princess Srinagarindra to "restore forests and develop people", and striving to "developing people; cultivating knowledge; instilling quality; upholding virtues; and conserving the environment".

The University has increased its accommodation capacity and offers up to 6,000 beds in 18 dormitory buildings for students. Students' residences are just a ten-minute walk from the main university buildings. Students have privacy within a safe, friendly, and lively learning environment.

MY STUDY EXPERIENCE WAS WONDERFUL AND THE ENVIRONMENT WAS PREFECT
It's a really big university surrounded by trees. The university gives transportation buses to go around in campus. The weather near university is cold to 16 degree Celsius in winter. A little hot in the summer but still cold at night. There are university dormitories There are dorms outside of university but you should buy a motorcycle to go around. For the language, although it's an international school some teachers will teach in English And Thai languages. I'm majoring in Software Engineering, nearly all the lecturers teach in English which is good because I can't speak Thai language. The lectures are UpToDate with the ongoing technologies. Living Cost is okay for a lot of western international students.
The teaching style offers a lot of hands on experience and insights of the chemistry for the sustainability
