Strong Engineering Journey
My study experience at the Lebanese University has been both challenging and rewarding. Through this program, I gained deep knowledge in PLC systems, automatic control, robotics, and energy and power electronics, all built on a strong foundation in mathematics and physics. I had the chance to participate in several practical labs, including microcontrollers, robotics, and power electronics, which helped me connect theory to real applications. The curriculum pushed me to think critically, solve problems creatively, and strengthened my passion for automation and control engineering.
My Academic Journey : Growth Through Challenges
I am currently in my third year of studying biology at the Lebanese University, and I expect to graduate in June. My time here has been both academically enriching and personally transformative. The Lebanese University, as Lebanon’s largest public institution, offers a unique learning environment where students are encouraged to adapt, persevere, and develop independence. Throughout my studies, I have faced challenges that required resilience and dedication. Rather than seeing these obstacles as setbacks, I embraced them as opportunities for growth. This mindset has allowed me to strengthen my problem-solving abilities, self-discipline, and adaptability skills that are invaluable for pursuing advanced scientific research. What I truly enjoy is the study of biology itself. The complexity of living systems, and the way life is sustained and regulated at every level, has always fascinated me. During my academic journey, this curiosity has evolved into a deep interest in neuroscience, where biology intersects with the study of the brain and human behavior. In summary, my current experience at the Lebanese University is shaping both my knowledge and my character. By the time I graduate in June, I will carry with me not only a strong academic foundation in biology but also the resilience and passion needed to pursue a master’s degree in neuroscience abroad.
Lacking Knowledge and Training
Personally, the experience was felt disappointing. The curriculum offered little real knowledge, and we lacked the proper equipment and training to develop practical skills. Instead of preparing us for the real-life future, the program left us under-equipped forcing us to train and study on our own what should have been taught in class. That was clear when we were working alongside other doctors, we realize how unprepared we are, even when we are about to graduate.
