Cambrian College is the largest college in northeastern Ontario, since 1967.

Research
Cambrian College is recognized among the top 50 research colleges in Canada.
Cambrian's R&D department collaborates with students through the Centre for Smart Mining and the Centre for Innovation in Smart Infrastructure. Students engage in real-world projects, working alongside industry professionals to solve practical challenges. This hands-on experience with advanced technologies enhances their skills and resumes, preparing them for successful careers.
Cambrian also hosts the annual Student Innovation Challenge, powered by RBC Future Launch. Students pitch innovative ideas to a panel of judges, gaining mentorship, entrepreneurial experience, and the chance to win project funding.

At Cambrian College, students benefit from a comprehensive range of support services to enhance their academic and personal success. Services include Academic Advising, Career Services, Co-op and Work Integrated Learning (WIL), Counselling Services, Indigenous Student Services, Learning Centre (Tutoring), and Student Success Advisors.
Our dedicated International Department provides tailored support for international students, including assistance with immigration services, student advising, settlement services and support, and cultural integration. We ensure a supportive environment where all students thrive, preparing them to achieve their academic and personal goals in a globalized world.
Housing services
Only steps away from classes, labs, and facilities, residence living provides you with the opportunity to get involved and be part of the ultimate Cambrian experience. Cambrian Residence can house up to 677 students in two styles of residences – Townhouse, which holds 300 students, and Dorm style, which holds 377 students. Residence Advisors will be there to support and guide you during your stay and to help ensure that you have an enjoyable and successful year at Cambrian.

Students have access to computer labs, study spaces with computers, and campus-wide Wi-Fi to support their academic needs.Cambrian College also provides IT support to assist students with technical issues such as network access, software installations, and troubleshooting.

On-campus, students have access to free mental health services, including counseling and wellness programs, as well as free massage clinics and dental hygiene appointments. For medical healthcare, services are available off-campus, with many clinics conveniently located nearby, some just a 10-minute walk from campus. This ensures students have easy access to essential healthcare resources.

To get involved, students can visit the Student Council office to learn about existing clubs and societies. If a desired club isn't available, the Student Council will assist in creating new ones.

Cambrian College is a fully-accredited and publicly-funded community college functioning under the direction of the provincial Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities. For this reason, its full-time post-secondary programs have been approved and are fully recognized by the Ministry.
