Housing services
Students living away from their homes and studying in Beirut or Tripoli Campuses can rent a girls-only or boys-only shared or private apartment from various local renters in these regions. Rent is usually paid yearly and varies according to location, size, and students sharing the apartment.BAU’s Debbieh Dorms are safe, comfortable, and relaxing. BAU has allocated two separate buildings, one for the boys and the other for the girls. We have 112 rooms available for boys in the boys’ dorms and 66 rooms available for the girls. The dorm rooms range from single to double rooms.
Library services
Libraries are one of the most vital assets and assessment criteria in private universities in light of technological and information technology advancements. Accordingly, the general policy of libraries is indispensable to Beirut Arab University’s policy, which is based on international quality standards in program and performance assessment and development.
Campus life
Beirut Campus was established in 1960. It is the main branch and located in the heart of Beirut in Tareek El Jadida. The land spans an area of 41,107 m2 and comprises two buildings with a total built area 50,500 m2. The main building has an area of 22,000 m2 and is utilized by BAU Administration and the Faculties of Business Administration and Dentistry.
Sports facilities
In Beirut Campus, the gym is located in the main building. The regular opening hours are from 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM from Monday to Friday. Additionally, in the fall and spring semesters, the gym opens its doors from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Saturdays.
Beirut Campus gym comprises 15 cardio machines, including 6 treadmills, 4 elliptical machines, 4 bicycles, and 1 rowing machine. It also comprises 20 strength-training machines that target various muscle groups. The gym has a stretching area and a bench for dumbbells with weights that range between 2 kgs and 50 kgs. It also includes several barbells and benches (1 incline bench and 2 flat benches).
Accreditation
- The Lebanese Ministry of Education and Higher Education MEHE recognizes all the degrees awarded by BAU: BA, BS, BBA (License), BA or BS (License d’Enseignement), Diploma, MA, MS, MBA (Diplômes d’Etudes Supérieures), and PhD Doctorat.
- The Faculty of Human Sciences attained the International Accreditation for the Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the Accreditation Agency in Health and Social Science (AHPGS).
- The Faculty of Law and Political Science attained the International Accreditation for the Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD Law Programs from the Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA), which serves to maintain European Quality Assurance in higher education.

An Enriching Academic Experience
My experience at the university has been both enriching and rewarding. I particularly appreciated the strong academic foundation and the emphasis on practical learning through projects, labs, and teamwork, which strengthened my problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Beyond academics, involvement in IEEE activities and volunteering greatly enhanced my leadership and communication skills. While expanding industry partnerships and research opportunities could further improve the experience, overall my studies were challenging, motivating, and highly formative, preparing me well for future academic and professional pursuits.
