Plekhanov Russian University of Economics

Plekhanov Russian University of Economics was founded in 1907. During its 114-year history, the university has always been closely connected with national economy: development of commerce and technologies of food production in the beginning of XX century, then formation of commodity science, growth of the cooperative movement, creation of state economic statistics and systems of planning, economic reforms of 1965-1970, macroeconomics and sectoral studies in the 1980s, promotion of market structures formation in 1990s.

The University provides 2-level training on a free of charge and paid basis

• I level – bachelor degree programs

• II level – master degree programs

Strong scientific infrastructure is developed at the University to support regular increase of research work competencies of academic staff and scientific schools.  The University is working to solve fundamental and applied problems of socio-economic and scientific-technological development of Russia.
