History
Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) was established on October 20, 1954 in Bandung, and was officially inaugurated by the Indonesian Minister of Education, Mr. Muhammad Yamin. UPI was initially a Perguruan Tinggi Pendidikan Guru (PTPG) or Teachers College which has undergone a metamorphosis to become a public university with wide-autonomy called PTNBH (Perguruan Tinggi Negeri Berbadan Hukum).

Student services
Student Center as a place to develop students’ managerial skills and to accommodate and develop their creativities.
Housing services
Convenient dormitories located in main campus and all regional campuses—PGSD Cibiru, Purwakarta, Tasikmalaya and Serang.
Library services
UPI has a library with a collection of about 69,802 tittles or 143,836 copies. The library opens weekdays 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, except Saturdays, it closes at 12:30 PM.
Medical services
Polyclinic which provides services in general health and dental-hygiene for students, teaching and administration staff members.
Campus life
The university is equipped with 123 classrooms fully accessible during office hours from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. It also has as many as 70 laboratory rooms located in eight faculties, postgraduate school and 5 regional campuses.
Sports facilities
As UPI has a faculty with specialization on Health and Sport education, it also has equipped with various kind of sport facilities such as Sport infrastructures which include Sport Hall, Football Fields, Volleyball Fields, Badminton Fields, Basketball Fields, Softball Fields, Tennis Fields, Golf Driving Range, Swimming Pool, to nurture and develop students’ talents and skills. These facilities are accessible by all of UPI staffs and students with Term and condition applied.
Student clubs
There are various kind of students association in UPI consists of University level, Postgraduate School, Faculties, Departments, Study Programs and Regional Colleges.
Accreditation
At the national level, UPI has obtained University Accreditation with A predicate from the National Accreditation Board of Higher Education (BAN-PT)
58.33% of study programs at UPI have been accredited with A predicate from BAN-PT. 7 study programs have obtained an excellent predicate. 16.67% of study programs have obtained B predicate, while 20.83% of study programs still get minimum accreditation because it is a new study program.

A great Uni for sports
Sport facilties in UPSI is the best (to me). There is a complete gym and swimming pool that open to everyone. Actually any sport activity here is free for student. So i experience many sport that I don't have an opportunity before to try before eg kayaking.
Amikom creative hub
The University as a whole isn't bad. However there are certain instances where grievances can be seen or made. Such as legalities for International students, accommodation and consideration and etc. However, as a whole AMIKOM has one of the better experiences when it comes to the field of communication, as they do not pressure their students to inherently excel in the field, but students often times over excel when needed.
My review
Overall, UPSI serves a better service for you to pursue study here. The most favourite thing I love about UPSI is the scenery where you can see Banjaran Titiwangsa when you are going to the new campus and it kinda heal me whenever I have a bad day.
