History
The establishment license of Bu-Ali Sina University was issued in 1973 and the university started its educational activities by admitting 200 students at different levels in 1976.

Research
By creating scientific infrastructure, including development of research laboratories, provision of access to libraries, electronic databases and other scientific resources, maintenance of constant connection with other science and research centers and holding science and technology events, Bu-Ali Sina University aspires to develop research and make it practical. This university is considered eminent in the country and the world regarding the field of chemistry and also rate of citations to the articles written by its faculty members.

The Department of Dormitory Affairs is one of the student affairs departments of universities, which supervises university dormitories and plans for the accommodation of non-native students.

The library is the information heart and research center of the university. It is located in Bu Ali Sina University on the basement floor of the Faculty of Science and two connected halls with an area of about 700 square meters form the space of the public services department.
