The college welcomed its first students in 1971 and adopted the name “Camosun”, a local Lekwungen (Songhees) First Nation name meaning “where different waters meet and are transformed.” Today, Camosun College offers over 160 innovative programs to help meet the needs of students and communities in Victoria and beyond.
Our education offerings include university transfer and applied degree programs; career and trades training; upgrading and preparatory programs; and professional studies and industry training. Camosun College has earned an outstanding reputation for teaching excellence—we’re proud of our faculty, staff and students, and the fact that we provide one of Canada’s best learning experiences.
We’re large enough to provide great services and facilities for a vibrant campus environment on beautiful Vancouver Island, yet small enough to offer students the individual support, care and attention not found in most post-secondary institutions.

Victoria is a beautiful city to live in. Known as “The Garden City,” Victoria is an attractive city with old-world charm and new world experiences. As Camosun College does not have student residences, on-campus housing or dormitories, most students live in a rented apartment, condo, basement suite or room in a shared house.

Camosun’s Student Mental Health and Well-being Strategy was developed to advance the recognition of the importance mental well-being plays in our students’ college experience. The strategy provides a vision, foundation and comprehensive plan to create the awareness, conditions and actions required to support the mental health and well-being of students at Camosun.
Fitness & Recreation
Providing services to help you stay active, build resilience and help minimize stress. Students can book workout sessions for free, and register for fitness classes and personal training.

IT IS A PERFECT PROCESSING JUST IT WORK FASTER AND BETTER THAN EXPETECD
Although my university in Turkey is newly established, it has made great innovations. For example, this year our campus moved to the hangar from a normal campus and we can receive training in the hangars right next to the planes and UAV. It provides great benefits in terms of practice with vehicles. In addition, there are various workshops on the campus. All kinds of tools are offered to participate in various competitions.
Overall, I have had a wonderful experience at Camosun College during my time studying Kinesiology. The small class sizes allow for great connections to be built both between classmates and the professors. I always felt as though all the instructors cared for me deeply as a person and were always there to help. Camosun ensures that its students receive lots of practical and hands on experience, preparing us well for going into our field of work as allied health professionals.
