Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin

Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA) started as Kolej Ugama Sultan Zainal Abidin (KUSZA). It commenced operation on 1st January 1980 at Batu Burok before moving to Hajah Wook Building in Pulau Kambing in 1981.

KUSZA was upgraded to a university status and became Universiti Darul Iman (UDM). UDM underwent a rebranding process on 14th May 2010 and became known as Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin.

UniSZA research is founded on the principle that by pursuing big ideas and sharing what we learn, we can make the world a better place. Its research is widely recognised for its achievements in applied research in Islamic Contemporary Studies, Development & Sustainability of Community, Business & Agro Industry Sustainability and Health & Well-being, that are firmly focused on solving real-world problems.
