Student services

The Student Government Organization (SGA) represents the student body, provides an opportunity for students to demonstrate leadership, and serves as a liaison between the students and the University administration. The SGA also plays a vital role in helping to plan and sponsor student campus activities and events.AURAK’s Student Government is led by five executive members: President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Public Relations Officer. The President of the SGA (or designee) serves on the University Academic Affairs Council, Student Affairs Advisory Committee, and Library Committee.

Housing services

The American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) has six traditional residence halls allowing students living in the UAE to avoid a lengthy commute by selecting to live on campus. In addition, international students will enjoy the convenience of living on campus while studying at the university and staying within their budget.

Our residential halls at AURAK are managed by the university and provide residents with a comfortable and safe living environment that is conducive to the academic experience. The buildings are divided by gender offering all female and all male buildings with shared (double room) accommodation. Based upon availability some single occupancy rooms may be available for an additional fee.

Library services

Saqr library is an academic library with an essential collection of library materials such as books, eBooks, periodicals (print and electronic), references, and electronic journals and databases to support the university's instructional programs and educational goals.

ICT services

Computers designated for student use or service computers are conveniently located in various campus buildings. These computers are equipped with a variety of applications that replicate those used in classrooms/labs. Students can utilize these PCs for tasks such as accessing email, preparing assignments, printing documents, conducting research, and browsing the internet.  

Medical services

All students (undergraduate and graduate) enrolled at AURAK are required to have health insurance. International students, under sponsorship by AURAK, will automatically have the health insurance policy ordered for them and the annual expense of the insurance premium will be billed to their student account.  

Campus life

AURAK’s campus is designed to provide students with everything they need to succeed inside and outside the classroom. From modern lecture halls and state-of-the-art laboratories to comfortable residence halls and cutting-edge sports facilities, our campus has it all. Whether you're looking for a place to study, play, or simply relax, you'll find plenty of options to choose from. 

Sports facilities

AURAK’s sports facilities include a multipurpose hall, a well-equipped gymnasium ( male and female ), a walking track, and outdoor sports fields. The University has a wide range of sports teams participating in inter- and intra-university competitions in UAE. Current active teams include:

Student clubs

Membership in these clubs and organizations helps students make new friends and meet people with common interests while acquiring leadership, teamwork, and event planning skills.The University encourages all students to establish or join clubs to explore or further their interests.

AURAK offers locally and internationally-recognized degrees accredited by the Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA) of the UAE Ministry of Education in the United Arab Emirates.
