History
The University of Worcester, located in Worcester, England, has a rich history of nearly 80 years and dates back to 1946 when it was founded as an Emergency Teacher Training College to address the post-World War II shortage of teachers.
In 1992 the institution was renamed University College Worcester, reflecting its expanded academic scope and the introduction of degree programmes.

Worcester Students’ Union is the social heart of the University, with a huge range of sport clubs, societies and volunteering opportunities.
Located at the centre of the St John’s campus, the modern Students’ Union building is an ideal place to relax and chat; stock up on supplies from our campus shop or socialize over lunch. The bar and coffee house is a place for all students to meet with friends and enjoy a drink, play pool and watch the action on the big screens.
Housing services
The University of Worcester offers a range of accommodation options to suit different preferences and needs, including on-campus housing at St John’s and City Campus (starting from £524 per month), as well as assistance with finding private rented accommodation. Library services
The library of the University of Worcester is called the Hive. With over a quarter of a million books and 12 miles of archive collections, The Hive is no ordinary library. Opened by Her Majesty the Queen in 2012, The Hive is Europe’s first fully integrated university and public library. It has a busy events programme, with regular public lectures, exhibitions and performances.

Campus life
The University of Worcester has 3 campuses, each with its own distinct features and facilities, catering to a wide range of academic programmes and student activities. All campuses are within the city of Worcester and within convenient walking distance. Here is an overview of the main campuses:
The main campus - St. John’s is located in a suburban area, approximately 15 minutes’ walk from Worcester city centre.
On the St. John’s campus students have access to plenty of teaching facilities, support services, Students’ Union, student’s shop and bar, cafeterias, canteen, on-campus accommodation and 24/7 security and outdoor sporting pitches.
Sports facilities
The University has excellent facilities supporting participation in sport, exercise and recreation, as well as academic study pathways. Students wishing to use the exercise facilities pay a small membership fee.
- University of Worcester Arena - a multi-purpose indoor 2000 seat/12 court sport venue, supported by a conference suite and break out rooms, media and catering facilities. An excellent basketball, badminton, volleyball, netball or indoor football facility.
- St John's Sports Centre - a 6 court sports hall and gymnasium hall. Outdoor full size 3G AstroTurf and sand-filled AstroTurf.

Helpful Campus With Excellent Facilities
Decent enough university would recommend to anyone considering joining here. I campus facilities are excellent and people are always willing to help you out, you just have to ask. In general I'm so happy that I picked this uni, and would definitely recommend it to my friends.
Helpful tutors
Lots of students commute and there just isn't the parking available, generally staff have been quite helpful and always able to book tutorials with them for help. Have never tried the food but I hear its quite good

It was a good university would recommend to others, they are very good at looking after students making sure they feel safe and well supported. All campuses are really lovely, well looked after and the staff are really lovely and helpful.
