Student services

The International Student Center is a student's home away from home and it houses the sup - port staff: advisors, mentors and friends. The staff have a unique understanding of the challenges experienced by international students, based on firsthand international experience.

Housing services

Cattolica's student housing options are as numerous as they are varied. 

  • The MIL Service - offers single or shared rooms in a residence hall off-campus or fully furnished apartments with wireless internet connections, utilities (water and electricity), a cleaning service, basic cable television, plus extra amenities such as a kitchenware.
  • EDUCatt (Assistance and Financial aid Organization for the students of the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore) offers housing solutions both on and off campus.

Library services

The Rome Campus library was founded in 1961. Today, the library holds over 251,000 volumes and 7,000 periodicals (of which, about 4,000 are current). The total reading area covers 2,600 sqm and numbers more than 400 available seating places distributed in five reading rooms (two at the Policlinico "A . Gemelli" and three at the "Istituti Biologici").

ICT services

All guest students have free access to the Internet Service. There is an internet point at the Faculty of Economics, 2nd floor. Computer halls around campus allow for internet access either on fixed desktops or personal laptops (wall connection or Wi-Fi if available). 

Medical services

The Cattolica health center provides students with medical care, nursing care and psychological counseling. General, specialist (gynecology, ophthalmology, diet) and preventative medical examinations are available to students. Access is free, no appointment needed. Englishspeaking doctors are available. Psychological counseling is offered on a fee paying basis.

Student Life

Campus life

  • The main campus in Milan is an integral part of the local community. The bustling streets around the campus are full of cafés, restaurants and shops.
  • The Piacenza-Cremona campus was originally built in the 1950s. The faculty enjoys an international reputation in agriculture and economics, and is widely regarded as a leader in the agri-food sector.
  • At Cattolica’s Rome campus students will feel at home. The internationally acclaimed School of Medicine and Surgery is at the Rome campus, which is also home to the famous School of Economics.
  • Then there is the campus in the heart of Brescia, a city of ancient wonders above and below the cobblestone streets and laneways. 

Sports facilities

The campus offers students:

  • a football field
  • three tennis courts
  • a volleyball court
  • a basketball court
  • a 5-a-side field
  • a gym for judo and gymnastics.

Several sport events are held on campus such as football, basketball and volleyball tournaments between teams made up of University students, doctors and staff.

Special gym subscriptions are available to Cattolica international students thanks to the collaboration between Università Cattolica and GetFIT gym.

Student clubs

The student association ESN (Erasmus Student Network) is going to welcome you in Milan upon arrival and will assist you throughout the semester/year.

S.I.S.M. (Segretariato Italiano Studenti di Medicina) is a non-profit association of medical students founded in 1970; nowadays it is present in 34 italian universities and is affiliated with I.F.M.S.A. (International Federation of Medical Students' Associations).

Smint Piacenza is a student association, comprised of both Italian and international students. The association helps students from all faculties get together, assists new students become familiar with Piacenza and its surrounding area.
