Student services

Student services at Rotterdam Business School are geared toward international students. All our lecturers and support staff speak English as well as many other languages.

Housing services

  • We reserve approximately 220 rooms per year from Stichting Studenten Huisvesting (Foundation for Student Housing, SSH)
  • For those who are not eligible for SSH rooms, we provide you with clear and honest information about how to find a room on the private market, see Alternative Housing Providers.

Medical services

  • When preparing for your stay in the Netherlands, it is very important to ensure that you will be properly insured during your stay. By law, it is mandatory to have health insurance.
  • Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences offers student insurance with the Aon insurance company. Aon offers a complete cross border insurance policy for international students all over the world.

Campus life

Rotterdam is truly a world city. Home to the largest port in Europe, Rotterdam has global trade and transport links. The city's history of international trade has helped to shape what is now seen as the typical 'roll up your sleeves and get cracking' Rotterdam mentality. Known as the Netherlands' ultimate festival city, Rotterdam buzzes with activity all year round. Cultural, sporting, and music events are plentiful, while the diversity of cultures means that the cuisine is truly global, too.

Student clubs

A great way to get to know other students at Rotterdam Business School, and to have a lot of fun, is to join RISA - Rotterdam International Student Association.

Each year RISA organises lots of activities for both Dutch and international students alike, including social dinners and parties (boat party, beer-pong), international trips, sporting events, guest lectures etc. Visit the RISA website for the latest news and events.
