Description
This scholarship supports research initiatives on education and socioeconomic issues relevant to the Malay and Muslim communities. One candidate will be supported throughout their three-year research candidature, building upon existing datasets to translate and scale data into actionable community outcomes.
Benefits
Covers tuition fees, miscellaneous fees, monthly stipend of S$4,200, and allowances.
Eligibility
- Full-time PhD student at SUSS using datasets from SUSS-MENDAKI collaboration;
- Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident;
- Display leadership qualities and/or passion for helping the community;
- Achieve good academic results.

Eligible PhD applicants will be evaluated on merit during admissions interviews. Potential scholarship candidates will be identified and nominated as part of this process.
SUSS will notify nominated applicants via email to submit an e-application and attend a panel interview for the scholarship.
The decision of the Student Awards Committee of SUSS is final and binding. No appeals will be entertained.
