Description
The CEMFI PhD Program prepares students for successful careers in universities and academic centers as well as in central banks and public and private sector institutions. Their graduates have demonstrated to have the knowledge and skills necessary to undertake a successful career as a research economists.
The CEMFI Graduate Program offers academic merit-based scholarships and tuition waivers for students of all nationalities. Students enrolled in the Ph.D in Economics program may also apply for research funds, financial support for conference participation, and financial support for academic visits.

Current tuition fees:
National and EHEA students: EUR 3,300/yr.
Foreign students not residing in the EHEA: EUR 6,600/yr.
For Latin American students enrolled in the coursework stage, the Fundación Carolina, in cooperation with BBVA, endows two scholarships that include a stipend of EUR 1,000 per month, for a total of 20 months, a yearly round trip economy-class ticket from the student's country of residence, medical insurance (excluding prescriptions), and the program’s tuition fees.

- Students of all nationalities are eligible to apply for this scholarship.
- Applicants must be accepted into the CEMFI's PhD in Economics program. Full-time enrollment is mandatory.
