General Requirements

Admission to the PhD level is subject to approval from a panel that reviews candidates' academic record and the quality of their research paper to assess their ability to pursue this research programme.  The application process is open to both students who received their first two years of training at Sciences Po and students with Masters degrees from other French or foreign schools.  However, the admissions panel may require that students who did not receive a Masters in History from Sciences Po complete additional basic or specialty coursework prior to pursuing their doctoral research.
