Overview
Staff have strong research backgrounds and will be happy to supervise you in research covering a broad range of topics in either psychology or addiction studies.
Psychology research facilities include state-of-the-art brain imaging electroencephalogram (EEG), eye tracking equipment and a range of experiment and research software. We provide access and a high standard of support for use of these facilities. The Psychology programme is offered by the University of West London.

Many of our research graduates go on to take up roles within academia whilst others pursue careers as a clinical psychologist, counselling psychologist or an educational psychologist.

General requirements
The minimum entry requirements for a research degree are:
- a good first degree (First Class or Upper Second Class), or equivalent qualification in a relevant field
- a Masters Degree (MA, MSc, MBA or MRes) with Merit, or equivalent postgraduate or research experience.
- Competence in written and spoken English is a pre-requisite for entrance to this programme. An IELTS (International English Language Testing System) score of 6.5 (with no element under 6.0).
