Overview
Our Philosophy program at York University specializes in a number of research areas, including: (i) ethics, political philosophy, and philosophy of law; (ii) philosophy of cognitive science, mind, and language; (iii) history of 19th and 20th century philosophy; and (iv) philosophy of science and epistemology.
Features
- Our program teaches both traditional and interdisciplinary methods, including empirical, conceptual, and applied approaches.
- Faculty in the graduate program also engage in ongoing discourse with researchers in other disciplines, including law, psychology, neuroscience, and healthcare.
- Students may complement their training with graduate diplomas, including the Diploma in Value Theory and Applied Ethics and the Neuroscience Graduate Diploma.
