- Master’s degrees in Contemporary History, History of Catalonia, Economic History, or Archive and Records Management preferred; equivalent qualifications considered
- Good command of a foreign language (e.g. English) recommended (B2 level)
- Relevance of academic background to modern and contemporary history evaluated (60%)
- Academic record assessed (30%)
- Research experience and achievements (grants, projects, publications, stays) evaluated (10%)
- Personal interview may be conducted if needed
- Up to 20 ECTS of supplementary training may be required to address gaps in historical knowledge or research skills
