Overview
The departments of physiological and biological psychology of the University of Bamberg and Würzburg will closely collaborate in order to develop excellent and internationally visible interdisciplinary research opportunities for doctoral students within biopsychological research.

This joint venture of the two departments offers different approaches in biopsychological research, which complement one another, and therefore provides excellent opportunities for a state-of-the-art education and internationally acknowledged research.
An excellent supervision is ensured by doctoral committees for each student with members from both departments. The three year Biopsychology of Pain and Emotions curriculum is organized to allow an intensive training on theories and methods of Biological Psychology, and to provide research experiences in different laboratories.Programme Structure

- Methods of pain research
- Biological and psychological aspects of chronic pain
- Biological and psychological aspects of anxiety disorders

The University of Bamberg does not charge tuition fees. However, students have to pay an administrative fee of currently 103,50 Euros per term.
