The Hispanic Studies program at University of Washington is designed to provide a rigorous and comprehensive education in the traditional disciplines of Spanish and Latin American literary studies, while also allowing for an engagement with larger issues relating to the role of the humanities in the contemporary world.

- As part of their graduate school experience, students accepted into the PhD program in Hispanic Studies at the University of Washington will participate in the Graduate Certificate in Public Scholarship, in collaboration with the Simpson Center for the Humanities.
