About the programme
- The four-year A-STAR PhD programme will require successful applicants to split their time between Manchester and the relevant research institute in Singapore. The programme will involve two-year periods in both Manchester and Singapore. The final PhD degree awarded will be by The University of Manchester.
- This programme is open to across all research areas, and will be of interest to students of the highest calibre who are keen to undertake a research project in Manchester and Singapore as part of the A*STAR Research Attachment Programme (ARAP).

- Applicants to the programme must have obtained, or be about to obtain, a First or Upper Second class UK honours degree, or the equivalent qualifications gained outside the UK, in an appropriate area of science, engineering or technology.
- As competition is fierce, many of our applicants also hold a Masters-level qualification.
