  • Surface treatments and adhesion: adhesives and paints
  • Electrochemical characterization of materials
  • Composite and multifunctional materials: processing; properties; interphases; multifunctional composites; nanocomposites and polymer blends (thermoplastics and thermosets)
  • Materials with electrical, magnetic, optical or thermal functionality. Manufacture of functional materials, study of the relationship between structure (at any length scale) and properties
  • Nanomaterials and Nanotechnology. Synthesis and properties of new nanostructured and functional materials and their transformation processes applied to different industrial and scientific fields
