General requirements

Given the multidisciplinary nature of the scientific field of the doctoral programme in Mechanical Engineering, Fluids and Aeronautics, there are a wide range of degrees that qualify applicants for admission. The most suitable entrance qualifications are pre-EHEA technical and science degrees and bachelor’s degrees in scientific and technological fields. Applicants should also have completed a master's degree (or 60 ECTS master's degree credits) in an area related to the scientific field of the programme

In addition to having suitable academic qualifications, it is considered important that applicants have certain personal characteristics – namely, an interest in the research projects carried out within the framework of the programme; critical thinking and analytical skills; initiative, perseverance and persistence in their academic work; the ability to work in a team; and the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
