From its humble beginnings as a school founded by Christian Missionaries, Yonsei is now at the forefront of academic leadership as one of the most prestigious private Christian universities in the world.
Remembering the spirit of the early missionaries to train future Christian leaders, Yonsei University proudly founded GIT – Global Institute of Theology, an English graduate program in Theology for international students around the world.

General requirements
- Foreigners who have (or those expected to have) a master's degree in Theology (Th.M.) or a master of Divinity (M.Div.) from domestic or overseas graduate schools and who are deemed to have an equivalent or higher educational background.
The applicant shall submit the following documents within the designated period to apply for the GIT program:
- Application form
- Curriculum vitae
- 1 Photo (taken within the last 3 months, 3cm × 4cm)
- A copy of passport or foreign registration card
- Official degree certificate of undergraduate (graduate) school
- Official transcript of undergraduate (graduate) school
- Official English test scores or documents proving equivalent language proficiency in English
- Official Korean language test scores or documents proving equivalent language proficiency in Korean (if applicable)
- Two copies of recommendation (if any).
