Overview
About the programme
Ongoing textual critical projects in this Greek and Byzantine Studies programme at Uppsala University span over a long time period, from imperial and late antique times down to Middle- and Late Byzantine times. Work in progress includes new methods for digital textual critical publication and cataloguing medieval manuscripts.
The same kind of disciplinary width is on display in literary and linguistic studies, where research is being carried out on antique, late antique, and Byzantine material. Some projects focus on reception-esthetic aspects of antique or Byzantine material, while others border on the history of culture or the history of ideas.
