Overview
There are currently seven doctoral students at the Department. So far, we do not have our own research studies programme, but we hope to be able to offer one within a few years.
Features
- Our doctoral Strategic Communication students at Lund University are enrolled on a research studies programme at the Department of Communication and Media; after four years of full-time study and the successful defence of their doctoral thesis, they will be awarded a doctoral degree in Media and Communication Studies specialising in Strategic Communication.
- It is also possible to study towards a licentiate degree, which takes two years.

Other requirements
General requirements
- A completed second cycle (Master’s) degree.
- Completed course requirements of at least 240 credits, of which at least 60 credits in the second cycle.
- Equivalent knowledge acquired in some other way in Sweden or abroad.
- The specific entry requirements for admission to third cycle studies in Strategic Communication are completed course requirements of at least 30 credits in the subject of Strategic Communication, of which at least 15 credits from a Master’s degree project, or equivalent knowledge acquired within or outside the country.

For you to be enrolled as a doctoral student, funding is required for your entire education.
