Overview
Specific requirements of the PhD Bio-Pharmaceutical Sciences programme at Leiden University depend on the specialisation chosen and are determined in agreement with the supervisor of the thesis.
Features
- The PhD candidates actively participate in national and international meetings as a part of their training.
- The ULLA consortium organizes biannually a summer school in one of the five participating institutes. The PhD thesis is written in English, the language commonly used in the research groups.
Curriculum:
- Every PhD candidate draws up an Education and Supervision Plan (ESP/OBP) with the supervisor and promotor that outlines research and education targets, supervision and training.
- You can find a template for the ESP in the menu on the right. Some insitutes, however, use a modified version of this template, so please make sure you use the template relevant for your institute. The PhD candidate meets with the supervisor on a regular basis, discussing research, training and teaching. Your development is officially evaluated annually during a ‘Result and Development assessment’.
