Overview
This Story Foundry programme offered by Bath Spa University supports contemporary writers, storytellers, and makers whose project proposals do not fit within traditional disciplinary boundaries. The programme encourages interdisciplinary methodologies with a narrative-based focus and may incorporate film, creative writing, immersive technology, collaborative practice, science communication, ethnography, and performance.
Key Facts
Hosted by The Story Society, the programme is designed primarily for international students and is delivered through bespoke one-to-one online supervision. Students develop a thesis that includes a creative output as a central component and explore how narrative-based practice can generate new knowledge across different fields. Optional residency opportunities, monthly virtual peer-support sessions, writing retreats, masterclasses, and an annual conference provide additional opportunities for exchange, collaboration, and professional development.
