Overview

You’ll be part of an active research community in the Law and Criminology Department at Sheffield Hallam University .

This gives you a range of opportunities to take part in seminars, reading groups, writing retreats and collaborative projects.

Programme Structure

Curriculum: 

  • There are regular research training events, seminars and informal meetings where you can practise delivering conference papers in a supportive environment. 
  • Funds are available to support you in attending conferences and we encourage you to deliver papers and publish your work.
  • Our research and knowledge exchange activities are coordinated through the Helena Kennedy Centre for International Justice. 
  • Here we retain strong links with organisations such as probation services and police forces nationally and internationally. 
  • These connections form the basis for criminal justice related research projects.
