Overview
The Pharmacy programme from Dalhousie University will equip you the education and experience you need to become a practicing pharmacist.
The innovative problem-based learning curriculum gives you the opportunity to solve real-life problems in a small group setting. This means fewer lectures and more hands-on learning to prepare you for your career. You’ll also participate in 40 weeks of clinical rotations to further build your skills and knowledge.

- With a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, you’ll have a wide range of career opportunities. Dalhousie graduates have the knowledge and skills to care for patients in a variety of health care settings including community pharmacies, hospitals, and primary care settings.
- As well, the pharmaceutical industry provides opportunities for pharmacists in the fields of sales and marketing, production, research, and quality control.
- Pharmacists also fulfill roles in other health-related industries including government, private industries, and universities (as educators, administrators, consultants, or researchers)

- The PharmD program has been awarded provisional accreditation status by the Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs.
