About the programme
In addition to research within our core topic areas at The Open University UK, we welcome research projects that seek to extend and develop theory from a range of approaches including post-Keynesian, feminist, institutional, comparative, Passinettian, Marxian and ecological economics.
Research projects that directly engage with Economic Theories and Methods, policy analysis, economic measurement and modelling in innovative ways are also very welcome.
Programme Structure
Research:
- Academics in economics have experience in quantitative techniques associated with mainstream modelling, input-output analysis, stock-flow-consistent macro modelling, micro simulation and applications of game theory as well as qualitative methods including small- and large-scale surveys, focus groups, case-studies and randomised controlled trials.
