About the programme
Electronics and Bioengineering research at The Open University UK spans a diversity of areas and is divided into broad themes: telecommunications, nanoelectronics and microsystems, bioelectronics and bio-inspired technologies.
We work closely with colleagues from various groups and international partners to develop innovative solutions to the challenges facing the world today.
Programme Structure
Our research interests include:- Design and development of spintronic nanodevices for non-volatile memory/logic and sensor applications.
- Nanodevices for bio-inspired electronics DNA biosensors for healthcare applications
- Diabetes technology/micro-biosensors and management
- Diagnostics and personalised medicine technology and applications
- Telecommunications and signal processing
- Robot perception and computer vision for tracking and activity understanding
- Sensor fusion in resource constrained devices
