Many Genders, Sexualities, Relationships, Intimacies staff at The Open University UK participate in the following research groups:

- Innovation, Knowledge and Development
Programme Structure
Our substantive areas of interest include:- everyday nuances of intimacy and family life
- same-sex parent families and long-term relationships
- sex, sexuality and sexual citizenship
- intimate relationships, organisations and social institutions as sites of gendered violence, abuse and harm
- domestic homicide and gender in policing
- gendered relations of health and social welfare
- punitiveness towards gendered and sexual subjects at the intersections of criminal and social justice
- resistance, agency and activism of women, victim-survivors, non-binary and transgender individuals, lesbian, bisexual and queer women
- ‘justice’, ‘survival’, ‘rights’ and ‘recovery’ in criminal justice approaches, support services, social movements and transformative justice
